Looks like myself and a co-worker have been 'green-lighted' for the conference and travel arrangements are being made. I'm glad I've got some backup for this trip! Hopefully there will be a little less bouncing among the different tracks, but probably not too much.
Tim Rayburn will be speaking at the conference on the topic of BizTalk Server 2006 R2 and HIPAA. I imagine that healthcare is an interesting space to be in - its been a while, but I've worked for two practice management software companies in the past that used the services of different insurance claims clearinghouses. I've often thought that would be a great application for the BizTalk of today. The routing of claims to various carriers was always interesting enough, but then stack on top of that the different business rules that were applied as a claim was routed for processing (which often changed per carrier), and remittance requirements back to the originator. Cool stuff!
We'll be staying at the Bellevue Westin, which is walking distance to at least one of the social events if I remember correctly. If your staying at the Westin, or just want to chat, drop me a line. One of the great things about the last conference, besides the great content, was the chance to hear how people used BizTalk and [insert your favorite TLA here] to solve their business problems!
..and what would be a trip to the Redmond area without getting my fix of Talking Rain carbonated drinks! I've got an unhealthy preoccupation with this product line, although I notice that 'grapefruit' is not part of the current line up!? Say it ain't so! Although, 'Spearmint Mojito' might be interesting...hmmmm.
